Butte County's Department of Water and Resource Conservation was formed on July 1, 1999 following many years implementing programs to protect the Butte County water resources.

Our Mission: To manage and conserve water and other resources for the citizens of Butte County.

Please be advised that due to the Corona Virus (COVID-19) our office lobby will be closed to the public until we are instructed to reopen by Butte County Public Health and Butte County Administration. In addition, all public meetings scheduled by Butte County Department of Water and Resource Conservation, Wyandotte Creek GSA or Vina GSA for the month of March and first part of April have been cancelled. The public workshops will be rescheduled to a later date.

During this time the staff will be working remotely from home.
