ARREST MADE IN OROVILLE STABBING INCIDENT

Oroville, Ca—On December 23rd at approximately 4:00 p.m., Butte County Sheriff’s Office (BCSO) received reports of a man approaching residences on Rosita Way in Oroville claiming to have been stabbed by his wife. BCSO deputies responded to the scene and located the subject who was suffering from a non-life threatening stab wound to the chest. The subject was transported to a local hospital for treatment and has since been released.

After further investigation, BCSO Deputies learned that the subject and his wife, Lisa Belyew, had been in a verbal argument that had turned physical in the backyard of their Rosita Way residence, ultimately resulting in Belyew stabbing the subject in the chest. Deputies also learned that Belyew was currently out on her own recognizance from Colusa County for assault with a deadly weapon, domestic violence, and destruction of property.

BCSO deputies arrested Belyew for assault with a deadly weapon, domestic violence, and committing a felony while out on her own recognizance. Belyew was booked into the Butte County Jail with bail set at $105,000.
