Oroville, CA – In June of 2022, Butte County Sheriff’s Office detectives were contacted by a minor victim who reported they had been sexually abused by an adult male.  Detectives conducted an investigation and identified the suspect as  Dwayne Fien, age 40, of Oroville. 

During the investigation detectives interviewed multiple individuals.  Based on evidence located during the investigation, detectives obtained an arrest warrant for Fien.  On July 08, detectives contacted Fien and placed him under arrest for a felony count of engaging in sexual intercourse with a child under the age of 10.    

Fien was booked into the Butte County Jail on the afternoon of July 08.  The Sheriff’s Office is asking anyone with additional information about this investigation to contact Detective Mariah Smith at 530-538-7671.
