BUTTE COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE RECORDS DIVISION CLOSURE
Oroville, CA—The Butte County Sheriff’s Office (BCSO) Records Unit, will not be open for business on Friday, January 26th, 2018.
Some of the services which are usually available through the Records Unit include, the processing of California Concealed Carry Weapons (CCW) Licenses and other Permits, Live Scan, Registrations, Release of Impounded/Stored Vehicles, and Release of Crime Reports.
This one day closure allows for Records Unit staff to learn a new records management system. Employees throughout the department are learning how to use the system and are looking forward to the many benefits the system provides. The new records management system will help to streamline much of the work that is currently being done, bringing BCSO up to speed in terms of effective records management.
This closure will only affect the BCSO Records Unit, located at 5 Gillick Way in Oroville. The BCSO Main Lobby will still be open to the public for reporting of crime and the BCSO Civil Division will also be open for business. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. This upgrade will ultimately provide better service to the citizens of Butte County.
