The Hazardous Waste Generator Program ensures the safe and legal handling, storage, and disposal of hazardous waste. The purpose of this program is the protection of public health and the environment from exposure to hazardous wastes by regulation of the businesses and industries that generate hazardous waste. This is accomplished through a comprehensive program of inspection, complaint investigation, and assistance to industry, enforcement and public education.
