I have 25 years of fire service experience with over 31 fire seasons at CAL Fire.  While working my way up through the ranks of Firefighter, Engineer and Captain I worked in several different station environments including rural CAL Fire stations and urban municipal fire stations in Butte, Nevada/Yuba/Placer and Tuolumne/Calaveras Units.  I have experience as a Captain in the Oroville Emergency Command Center, Fire Prevention, Pre-Fire Planning, Fuels Management, & GIS.
In 2006 I promoted to Battalion Chief overseeing the CAL Fire Emergency Command Center in Oroville. In 2011 I transferred to operations relief and in 2012 to the Chico Battalion.  In November of 2013, I promoted to my current position as Division Chief overseeing the northern operations, including the Town of Paradise Fire Department.
Born and raised locally, I’m proud to call Butte County home and to serve and protect its citizens and guests.
I have my Master Degree in Business Administration & Bachelor Degree in Forest Resource Management with an emphasis in Fire Management.
I am currently the Cadre’ leader for CAL FIRE Supervision 2 course. I have experience as the Deputy Finance Section Chief & Cost Unit Leader CAL FIRE Incident Management Team 1 (1997-2002); Operations Branch Director CAL FIRE Incident Management Team 5 (2007-2012).
I oversee the CAL FIRE Butte Unit, Northern Operational area including all field battalions in the northwestern half of Butte County serving the communities of Concow, Magalia, Stirling City, and Paradise including the Town of Paradise, Durham, Chico, Cohasset, Forest Ranch & Butte Meadows, and the CAL FIRE Chico Air Attack Base.
