Victim / Witness Assistance Center
The District Attorney’s Office is committed to helping victims of crime and vigorously protecting their rights. Since 1979, the Victim-Witness Assistance Center (VWAC) has been providing essential services to victims and witnesses of crimes of violence or threat of violence in Butte County.
VWAC’s mandate is to alleviate the trauma and the frequently devastating effects of crimes of violence on the lives of victims, witnesses and their families.

To search for case information, use the Butte County Superior Court web site. (Click on banner below). You can search for individual names in the index by using Last, First (i.e. Smith, John) or you can search by Case Number (i.e. CM001234). Once the case is selected, the individual charges are listed along with the dispositions and the events of the case.
VINELink is an online resource that allows victims of crime to obtain information about the custody status of their offender.
