Resource Spotlight

The Great American Read

All community votes have been counted, and results of Butte County Library's "Tournament of Books" are in! The winner, by a landslide, is To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee. Thanks to all who voted and participated! Many of our patrons claim this to be their favorite novel of all time, and we thoroughly enjoyed the conversations about literature that arose from this tournament, held in conjunction with PBS's Great American Read series. Visit any branch of Butte County Library to check out a copy of To Kill a Mockingbird, as well as Harper Lee's sequel, Go Set a Watchman. We also have the classic film starring Gregory Peck and Robert Duvall, and audio book versions of this timeless story.
