County of Butte Indian Gaming Local Community Benefit Committee (IGLCBC)

Senate Bill 621, which became law on January 1, 2004, makes grant funding from California's Indian Gaming Special Distribution Fund available to counties, cities and special districts impacted by tribal gaming. The Special Distribution Fund was established for the receipt and deposit of money received by the State of California from Indian tribes pursuant to terms of their gaming compacts. In Butte County, there are two tribes with active casinos paying into the Special Distribution Fund: the Berry Creek Rancheria (Gold Country Casino) and the Mooretown Rancheria (Feather Falls Casino). Senate Bill 621 also created in each county an Indian Gaming Local Community Benefit Committee (IGLCBC). Local government agencies impacted by the tribal casinos may make application to the Committee for grant funding pursuant to the priorities and other requirements stated in the law (California Government Code 12710 et seq.)
