BUTTE COUNTY ANNOUNCES GREAT PLATES DELIVERED PROGRAM
Butte County, Calif.— In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, Butte County is now accepting applications for the Butte County Great Plates Delivered Program. The Great Plates Delivered Program is a State and federally funded program designed to provide meals to adults age 65 and over, as well as adults age 60-64 who are at high-risk of COVID-19, as defined by the Centers for Disease Control. 
The Great Plates Delivered Program is also designed to support local restaurants and food providers. Participating local restaurants and food providers will be assembling meals, including breakfast, lunch and dinner. The meals will be delivered to program participants on a daily basis, by Butte County employees and Community Emergency Response Team members. 
Butte County anticipates local Great Plates Delivered Program deliveries to begin on May 19, 2020; however, those who meet the program eligibility requirements are encouraged to register for the program now. A list of eligibility requirements is available at www.buttecounty.net/DESS.
