FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
April 13, 2020

CRACK SEALING OF LOWER WYANDOTTE ROAD AND PALERMO ROAD

Oroville, Calif.-- Butte County Public Works will be performing crack sealing of Lower Wyandotte Road from the Upper Palermo Road/Ophir Road intersection to Feather Falls Boulevard, and on Palermo Road from the railroad tracks to the Palermo Road/Upper Palermo Road intersection during the time period of April 21, 2020 to April 24, 2020.  This crack sealing process will help to seal the roadway surface, and will help prevent the formation of potholes during inclement weather.
Motorists that travel these roadways should expect delays of up to 15 minutes. Work schedules will vary based on the weather and crew availability, but will generally start at 7:30 a.m. with work completed and roads opened back up to traffic by 3:00 p.m.
During work hours, both Lower Wyandotte and Palermo road will be restricted to a single lane of traffic, with flaggers stopping and directing traffic through the work zone. All work is being performed in strict conformance with State and Local COVID-19 social distancing rules and hand sanitization guidelines, with the goal of keeping our critical infrastructure repairs moving forward.  Please drive carefully and pay attention to the directions provided by our traffic control personnel.
The Butte County Public Works Department has been serving its residents since 1850, providing cost effective roadway maintenance services.  The Department maintains approximately 1,300 miles of roadways, over 500 bridges and drainage structures and more than 18,000 road signs.
