BUTTE COUNTY DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS
ANNOUNCES THE START OF THE CENTERVILLE ROAD REPAIR PROJECT
Butte County, Calif.— The Centerville Storm Damage Repair Project, located on Centerville Road, approximately 0.10 miles east of Honey Run Road is schedule to begin on Monday, April 13, 2020. The contract for this project has been awarded to Knife River Construction in the amount of $1,315,202.75, and the project is anticipated to be completed by July 31, 2020. These dates may change due to inclement weather or other factors.
The work consists of traffic control, clearing and grubbing, removal of retaining wall system, construction of a new earth retaining wall system, installation of storm drainage facilities, grading, placement of new asphalt concrete paving, placement of concrete, and installation of new striping and signage.
One way traffic control will be in place through the duration of the project motorists are reminded to drive safely, and follow the directions provided by the traffic control personnel.
Both private contractors and public works staff continue to work during the COVID-19 Emergency, as both are considered “Essential Workforce Jobs”, per the Governor’s Statewide Shelter in Place Order.
