CONSTRUCTION WORK ON SKYWAY METAL BEAM GUARDRAIL UPDATE PROJECT TO BEGIN ON MARCH 9, 2020

 

Butte County, CA— On March 9, 2020, work will begin on the Skyway Metal Beam Guardrail Update Project. A portion of guardrail on the uphill section of Skyway between Honey Run Road and Spanish Garden Drive will be replaced and two new portions of guardrail will be added on the uphill and downhill sections of Skyway just downhill from Lookout Point. 

The contract for the Skyway Metal Beam Guardrail Update Project was recently awarded to Highway Specialty Company, Inc., in the amount of $145,209.38. Repair work will be completed between the hours of 7:00AM and 5:00PM, Monday through Friday. Single lane closures will be in effect during working hours.

The estimated completion date for this project is April 6, 2020; however the date could change due to weather.
