Is El Medio fully dissolved? What next?
  • Although El Medio Fire Protection District (EMFPD) is technically dissolved, Butte County was named as the successor agency in order to wind down their affairs.
  • Only after Butte County has completed winding down their affairs would we have further information that we would be able to provide. 
  • All Direct Assessments associated with EMFPD are eliminated and will not be placed on the tax bills beginning in tax year 2022/2023 and all future years.
