Why was the program established?: Butte County has a serious illegal dumping problem! We appreciate the efforts that community groups are willing to put into cleanup programs and are pleased to offer this grant program to assist with disposal costs. Because Butte County is committed to reducing the amount of material going to its landfill, we want to make sure that recycling is a part of every cleanup program.
