BUTTE COUNTY LIBRARY ANNOUNCES ACCESS TO TECHNOLOGY PROGRAM
Oroville, CA--The Butte County Library is proud to announce the launch of the Access
To Technology (ATT) Program for Seniors and Persons with Disabilities.
ATT will provide access to hot spots, laptops, and tablets, along with group and one-on-
one instruction to Butte County adults that are 60 years of age and older and adults with
disabilities. Every week, members of the Library’s ATT team will conduct digital literacy
programs and provide one-on-one technology support to qualifying community
members in Butte County Library branches and community facilities. Participants can
get personalized assistance with questions regarding smartphones, computers, tablets,
applications, or general software. The program’s goal is to bridge the digital divide
experienced by many older adults and adults with disabilities by providing improved
access to the latest technology and the education necessary to use technology in the
creation and maintenance of meaningful connections.
Butte County Library’s Access To Technology (ATT) program is offered in partnership
with the Butte County Department of Employment and Social Services and is funded
through the California Department of Aging. The program’s mission is to serve the
learning, cultural, and community needs of the diverse populations of Butte County by
reducing isolation, increasing social connections, and enhancing self-confidence in
navigating digital and online resources.
