Wastewater Program
California Water Code was amended in 2012 to establish a statewide, approach for the regulation and management of On-Site Wastewater Treatment System (OWTS), commonly known as septic systems. Environmental Health is the local permitting authority that ensures compliance with all applicable state and local regulatory requirements for the installation and repair of OWTS.
