Visitation Rules

Bringing Items to Juvenile Hall

Youth are provided with basic living needs such as food, clothing, medical care, bedding, and personal care items. The following outlines what is, and what is not, allowed to be brought into the Juvenile Hall during visitation.

 Okay to Bring

  • Lip Balm (soft tube only)
  • One paperback book (this book will be donated back to the facility when the youth has finished reading it)
  • Postage Stamps
  • Prescription Medications (To be authorized by parents and approved by facility medical staff. Given to medical staff to review.)

Not Okay to Bring

  • Food or outside beverages
  • Children or other individuals
  • Matches, lighter
  • Tobacco products
  • Controlled substance
  • Firearm
  • Weapon
  • Explosives

Dress Code

Tattoos that depict gang affiliation, alcohol, or violence must be covered.

Prohibited clothing: Gang attire. Low-cut shirts. Any shirt that exposes the midriff. Clothing that promotes: alcohol, sex drugs, gangs, or violence. Clothing that is sheer or see-through. Hats or bandannas. Any form of jacket or sweatshirt.
