Adult Reading Program

Adults interested in improving their basic literacy skills are matched one-on-one with trained volunteer tutors in our community. Instructions are goal-directed and learner-centered. Pairs typically meet in their local library once or twice a week for an hour to an hour and a half each meeting. Tutor Trainings

New tutors must complete tutor training before being matched with a learner. Trainings are held every three months in the meeting room of the Oroville branch of the Butte County Library. Upcoming tutor training dates are listed below:
