Butte County Library Literacy Services

Established in 1985, Butte County Library Literacy Services provides a variety of services for adults, families and children in our community.

  1. Adult Reading Program

Adults interested in improving their basic literacy skills are matched one-on-one with trained volunteer tutors in our community. Instructions are goal-directed and learner-centered. Pairs typically meet in their local library once or twice a week for an hour to an hour and a half each meeting. For more information on how to get started with improving your reading and writing, or how to become a volunteer tutor, please give us a call 1.888.538.7198.
