The mission of the Chief Administrative Office (CAO) is to provide leadership and guidance to the County in implementing the policies of the Board of Supervisors, while maintaining and improving the effective operations and fiscal integrity of the County.

Agricultural Commissioner
The Butte County Agricultural Commissioner's office is a regulatory agency acting under the jurisdiction and direction of the California Department of Food and Agriculture, the Department of Pesticide Regulation, and the Division of Measure Standards and in cooperation with various other federal, state, regional, and local agencies.

The Assessor's office staff is committed to the fair and equitable assessment of all property in Butte County. We strive to provide prompt, personal, and professional attention to all whom we serve.

Auditor-Controller
The mission of the Auditor-Controller's Office is dedicated to providing public oversight, fiscal leadership, financial integrity, transparency and accountability through the effective fiscal monitoring, reporting, auditing and safeguarding of public resources and to provide service, assistance and information to the public, Board of Supervisors, the Administrative Office, County Departments, Employees and Special Districts.

Behavioral Health
Behavioral Health has been serving Butte County for 55 years and provides care to youth and adults. Behavioral Health treatment consists of a continuum of prevention, early intervention, treatment, and recovery support systems.

Child Support Services
Child Support Services and parents working together for children. Our role is to work directly with families to establish paternity, establish and enforce child and/or medical support orders, and monitor payment activity.

Clerk of the Board
Our mission is to serve the public, the Board of Supervisors, County departments, and County employees in a manner that is honest, ethical, forthright and respectful; to provide assistance in obtaining board information and access to public records which fall under the jurisdiction of the Clerk of the Board.

County Counsel
The County Counsel represents the County and its officials in civil litigation, defends the County in administrative law proceedings, provides written and oral legal opinions to County officers, and acts as legal advisor to County boards, commissions and committees.
