Battalion 4 which includes the Chico urban area, the community of Durham, portions of Butte Valley, and the surrounding valley and foothills. The battalion consists of 3 career staffed stations and 3 volunteer stations with 4 volunteer companies serving the area. The battalion is currently responsible for the Unit’s self-contained breathing apparatus (SCBA) purchasing, servicing, and repair program, equipment pump testing, and the county’s technical rescue team, which is a component of the county-wide interagency rescue group. The Battalion maintains automatic aid agreements with the City of Chico, Tehama County, and Hamilton City Fire Department in Glenn County.
