Airport Land Use Commission (ALUC)
The purpose of the Airport Land Use Commission (ALUC) is to protect public health, safety, and welfare by ensuring the orderly expansion of airports and the adoption of land use measures that minimize the public's exposure to excessive noise and safety hazards within areas around public airports to the extent that these areas are not already devoted to incompatible uses.

Building Stakeholders
The Building Stakeholders Meeting discusses issues related to the activities associated with the Building Division: Permits (Permit Center), Plan Review, Inspections, and Code Enforcement as well as any new codes, forms, and /or processes (policies) being developed.

Code Enforcement Advisory Board (CEAB)
The Code Enforcement Advisory Board (CEAB) advises the Board of Supervisors on code enforcement matters, and assists in the development of priorities in code enforcement activities, identification of programs for voluntary property clean-up, and funding opportunities for code enforcement and community clean-up programs.

Economic Development Assistance Committee (EDAC)
An Economic Development Assistance Committee (EDAC) has been created for new and existing businesses to discuss plans to develop new businesses or to expand or retain their existing operations in Butte County, with all County departments at one time. Discussions often include preliminary information on a potential site's suitability, determining whether existing zoning would permit the use of the proposed site, and clarifying the requirements/improvements which would be necessary in order to start or expand a business.

Land Conservation Act Advisory Committee (LCA) (Williamson Act)
The Butte County Land Conservation Act Advisory Committee is State mandated and was formed according to Government Code Section 51239 to advise the Board of Supervisors on the administration of the agricultural preserves in the county per Resolution Number 68-7, dated January 16, 1968.

Local Appeals Board
The Local Appeals Board, which acts as both the Local Appeals Board and the Housing Appeals Board hears appeals regarding the building requirements of the County and those building requirements relating to the use, maintenance and change of occupancy of buildings and structures, including requirements governing alteration, additions, repair, demolition, and moving being enforced by the County of Butte.

The Planning Commission (PC) reviews and acts on matters related to planning and development and advises the Board of Supervisors on various land use matters.

Surface Mining Aggregate Operations Committee (SMAOC)
The Surface Mining Aggregate Operations Committee's (SMAOC) purpose is to advise the Board of Supervisors on all matters pertaining to surface mining including, but not limited to, mining permit and reclamation plan applications, financial assurances, and mining operation compliance with the Butte County surface mining and reclamation ordinance (Chapter 13, Article II of the Butte County Code).
