The Butte County Communications team supports all 23 county departments in their services for:
- Radio
- Phone
- Voicemail
- Cellular phone
- Pager
We are the point of contact between departments and telecommunication suppliers. All products and suppliers/vendors are selected using competitively bid contracts.
Radio Services
Butte County radio technicians install and maintain radio infrastructure supporting Butte County departmental radio users. The radio users we support include personnel in the:
- Sheriff's Department
- County Fire
- Public Works
- Public Health
- Probation
- Emergency Services
911 Coordinator Responsibilities
911 Coordinator responsibilities for Butte County is an important part the Communications Department. We provide support to all Public Safety Answering Points in the Butte Operational Area. In addition the 911 Coordinator is the 911 Northern California Wireless Coordinator as well.
Communications counts it a privilege to support both County government and the citizens of Butte County by supporting communications in day-to-day County government and in times of emergency.
