Real Property
Management of real property assets is handled on a County wide basis through the Real Property Division of General Services to ensure fair and equal treatment in each transaction. The intent of this centralized management is to protect the public's interest by coordinating activities, negotiating appropriate terms, and limiting exposure to risk for all county departments.
The 4 main transactions include:
- Space Allocation
- Acquisition and Disposal of Fee Simple, Easement, Right-of-Way and Licensed interests in Real Property
- Lease Management and Negotiation
- Review of Facility Use Agreements
Facilities Services
The Facilities Services Division of the Department of General Services is responsible for providing building maintenance and repairs, groundskeeping, and janitorial services to Butte County facilities. This includes the performance of preventive maintenance, emergency repairs, unscheduled maintenance services, and project oversight and management.
