Good Fence, Bad Fence
Approved fencing is constructed of durable fencing materials as permitted by the Butte County Zoning Code (24-60). Examples of approved fencing materials are wood and vinyl. Examples of non-approved fencing materials are, but are not limited to:
- Sheet metal
- Vehicles and / or parts
- Garage doors
- Aluminum
- Siding
- Corrugated tin
- Plywood
- OSB
- Other materials not specially designed for use as fencing
All marijuana grown outside of any building must be fully enclosed by a solid and opaque fence (of approved materials by the Department of Development Services) at least six feet in height or a height sufficient to conceal the marijuana from view.
