Butte County Economic Development provides assistance through the entire development process for businesses interested in starting, expanding or relocating in Butte County. As you proceed with your development project in Butte County, take advantage of the development assistance available to streamline the process.
In order to provide top level customer service to businesses either currently located in Butte County, or considering growing into the County, businesses have the ability to tap a single source of assistance through the County's Office of Economic and Community Development. The County's ombudsman will assist businesses in learning more about the various programs and services available to help grow their business, direct businesses to various other County Departments for specific questions or concerns regarding land development, and assist when questions or concerns may arise during the development process.

Economic Development Assistance Committee (EDAC) Meetings
Businesses interested in discussing plans to develop a new business or expand or retain their existing operation in Butte County have the ability to meet with all of the Butte County land development departments during an Economic Development Assistance Committee (EDAC) meeting. These meetings provide business owners and their representatives an opportunity to discuss such items as site suitability, zoning/permitted uses, improvement requirements, and business/economic development assistance.
