The Butte County Sheriff’s Office patrol division patrols unincorporated areas of Butte County, from the valley floor to the mountains of the Sierra Nevada. Patrol deputies duties include, but are not limited to:
- Handling general calls for service.
- Handling 911/emergency calls for service.
- Investigates criminal activity and suspicious incidents.
- Respond to natural disasters, conduct evacuations and security patrols.
- Assist allied agencies with calls for service and emergencies.
Designated Area Deputy Team (DAD Team)
The Designated Area Deputy (DAD) team, is a team of deputies that patrol specific areas in Butte County to provide focused patrol and enforcement of laws. The DAD team focuses on rural and agricultural crime and has partnered with the Butte County Farm Bureau in implementing the Smart Water CSI program. The DAD team also patrols the City of Biggs, handling calls for service, traffic enforcement and investigations.
