Airport Land Use Commission (ALUC)
The purpose of the Airport Land Use Commission (ALUC) is to protect public health, safety, and welfare by ensuring the orderly expansion of airports and the adoption of land use measures that minimize the public's exposure to excessive noise and safety hazards within areas around public airports to the extent that these areas are not already devoted to incompatible uses.

Assessment Appeals Board
Assessment appeals hearings are held before a 3-member board, all of which are citizens appointed by the Board of Supervisors.

Audit Committee
The primary function of the Audit Committee is to assist the Board of Supervisors in its oversight of the integrity of the financial statements of the County, the systems of internal controls, the qualifications and independence of the County's external auditors, and the performance of the County's internal audit function and the Independent Accountants.

Building Stakeholders
The Building Stakeholders Meeting discusses issues related to the activities associated with the Building Division: Permits (Permit Center), Plan Review, Inspections, and Code Enforcement as well as any new codes, forms, and /or processes (policies) being developed.

Code Enforcement Advisory Board (CEAB)
The Code Enforcement Advisory Board (CEAB) advises the Board of Supervisors on code enforcement matters, and assists in the development of priorities in code enforcement activities, identification of programs for voluntary property clean-up, and funding opportunities for code enforcement and community clean-up programs.

Consolidated Oversight Board
As of July 1, 2018 individual Oversight Boards to Successor Agencies of Redevelopment Agencies dissolved and one Countywide Oversight Board was formed.

Deferred Compensation Committee
The purpose of the Deferred Compensation Committee is to establish rules and processes consistent with fiduciary law, regulations, County policy and best practices.

Drought Task Force
The Drought Task Force monitors hydrologic conditions in Butte County throughout the water year and reports the findings to the Water Commission and Board of Supervisors annually in non-drought situations and biannually, quarterly, or monthly as the drought progresses.

Economic Development Assistance Committee (EDAC)
An Economic Development Assistance Committee (EDAC) has been created for new and existing businesses to discuss plans to develop new business, or to expand or retain their existing operations in Butte County, with all County departments at one time. Discussions often include preliminary information on a potential site's suitability, determine whether existing zoning would permit the use on the proposed site, and clarify the requirements/improvements which would be necessary in order to start or expand a business.

Federal / State Land Use Coordinating Committee
The purpose of the Committee is to represent the County of Butte in coordinating the management plans and actions of federal and state agencies to ensure consistency with local land use plans, and provide a key component of any General Plan revisions that must consider land outside County boundaries that bear relation to county planning, especially for matters related to fire prevention, watersheds, land use, natural resources and other related issues to ensure consistency.

Food Safety Advisory Group
The Food Safety Advisory Group is composed of stakeholders from the retail food industry, local food, school nutrition, community event organizers, and consumers.

Forest Advisory Committee (FAC)
The Board of Supervisors established the Forest Advisory Committee (FAC) to facilitate public involvement and assist the County in its quest to meet these guiding principles of the Butte General Plan 2030 as it pertains to the use of public lands.
