Brown Bag Seminar Series

The implementation of the Sustainable Groundwater Management Act (SGMA) requires the development of new data, analyses and programs. Understanding how these are developed and how they fit in the evolving SGMA world is critical for public engagement and sound decision-making. Many of these topics are highly technical in nature. Often regularly scheduled meetings do not afford an adequate amount of time for an in-depth presentation and discussion of key topics. To enhance the opportunity to learn about various topics, the Butte County Department of Water and Resource Conservation is initiating a Brown Bag Seminar Series. The Brown Bag Seminar Series will provide a forum to present specific SGMA related topics and the opportunity for community dialogue. We hope that local agency board members, advisory committee members and the general public will find added value in this opportunity. The seminars will usually be held during the lunch hour and will be recorded for future viewing.
