Delinquent traffic citations and other infractions, misdemeanors, and felony cases are forwarded by Butte County Superior Court to the Central Collections Division of the Treasurer-Tax Collector's Department. The department serves as a collection agency to recover delinquent debt owed to the Court and Butte County. There are several payment options available.
Online
Pay by credit or debit card online through PayGov. Use Location Code #36190 for the Butte County Treasurer-Tax Collector's Department, Central Collections Division. PayGov will add a convenience fee of 2.49% to process your payment, with a $1.00 minimum. You may set up recurring payments by creating a profile and completing the "Recurring Payment" tab.

Please make checks or money orders payable to Butte County Central Collections.
In Person
The Central Collections Division is located within the Treasurer-Tax Collector's Department on the bottom floor of the Butte County Administration building in Oroville. Cash, checks, money orders, and credit/debit card payments are accepted at the front counter.
