Delinquent traffic citations and other infractions, misdemeanors, and felony cases are forwarded by Butte County Superior Court to the Central Collections Division of the Treasurer-Tax Collector's Department. The department serves as a collection agency to recover delinquent debt owed to the Court and Butte County. There are several payment options available.
New! Traffic Tickets/Infractions Amnesty Program
In June, the Governor signed into law a one-time amnesty program for unpaid traffic and non-traffic infraction tickets to begin statewide on October 1st. More about the program and eligibility requirements.
Pay by credit or debit card online through Official Payments or by calling 1-800-272-9829. Enter jurisdiction code 1520 for Butte County Central Collections. Official Payments will add a convenience fee to process your payment.

The Central Collections Division is located within the Treasurer-Tax Collector's Department on the bottom floor of the Butte County Administration building in Oroville. Cash, checks, money orders, and credit/debit card payments are accepted at the front counter.
