There are a total of 6,360 solar panels in this system. Sharp Electronics  manufactured the 185-watt solar panels in their Memphis, Tennessee manufacturing  facility. The inverters that convert the DC energy from the panels to AC energy for  use in the County buildings were manufactured in California. The transformers were  also made in the United States. The steel structures in the Administration Building  parking lot were fabricated in Butte County. The people of Butte County provided all  the construction labor for this project. Therefore, this is the only solar energy  system that is made entirely of products manufactured in the United States.
