City of Biggs

As your Sheriff, I would like to welcome you to the new page dedicated to the City of Biggs. All of us at the Butte County Sheriff’s Office are excited to add the City of Biggs to the areas we respond to for calls for service. We look forward to extending law enforcement services to the citizens of Biggs and will work hard to keep Biggs a wonderful place to live and work.

The Butte County Sheriff’s Office provides law enforcement services to every region in our county. We have 300 sworn and non-sworn personnel, which includes the Special Enforcement Unit (SEU), Special Weapons and Tactics Team (SWAT), Narcotics Task Force (BINTF), Butte Inter agency Bomb Squad, Felony Investigations Unit, BCSO Marine Unit, Hostage Negotiators, BCSO Civil Unit, and Court Security.  We will be providing 24/7 law enforcement and response to the City of Biggs which will include 911/public safety dispatch services, records management, evidence/property management and criminal investigation services. I look forward to utilizing our Designated Area Deputies (DADS) within Biggs, and you will also see our Sheriff’s Community Service Officer (SCSO) patrolling the city. The SCSO is a non-sworn officer that will be working in the community with an emphasis on crime prevention and community outreach.

Our Designated Area Deputy Team is responsible for proactive patrol, building community relations and addressing rural and agricultural crime in the outlining areas of Butte County. Our Designated Area Deputies are looking forward to assisting the Butte County Sheriff’s Office in providing law enforcement services to the City of Biggs.

Our Sheriff’s Community Service Officer is a non-sworn officer who will be patrolling the community with an emphasis on crime prevention and community outreach. When our SCSO is not out in the community, the SCSO will have an office space inside Biggs City Hall.
