BCSO DEPUTIES CANCEL PURSUIT WITH WANTED SUBJECT IN THE INTEREST OF PUBLIC SAFETY
Chico, Ca--On 01/01/18, at approximately 4:30 PM,  Butte County Sheriff’s Office (BCSO) deputies attempted to serve an arrest warrant on Ryan Scott Rash, DOB 10/04/1987.  Rash was wanted on a Felony warrant out of Butte County for 4024.2(c) PC, failing to complete the Butte County SWAP program.  Deputies attempted contact with him outside a residence on Jasper Way in Chico.  Rash fled on foot, then got into a black Infinity two-door sports car with an unknown license plate.  The vehicle had passenger side door damage near the hinges.
Deputies pursued the vehicle for approximately 1.5 miles through residential neighborhoods.  Deputies cancelled the pursuit due to the high speed, moderate to heavy traffic, and Rash’s complete disregard for public safety.
Rash is wanted for the above stated Felony no bail warrant as well as for 2800.2(a) CVC (failing to yield with wanton disregard for public safety).
Anyone with information regarding Ryan Rash’s whereabouts, is encouraged to contact BCSO Sgt. Josh Brazzi at 538-7321.  All reporting parties can remain anonymous.
