Oroville- 9/9/16
A robbery occurred at the U.S. Bank in Lafayette on August 23, 2016, and detectives from the Lafayette Police Department determined Robert Keith Dennis, 55, of Oroville, was the suspect and he may also be involved in several other bank robberies across Northern California including Brentwood, Napa, Roseville and Sacramento as well as an attempted bank robbery in Davis.

On Wednesday, August 31st, 2016, Correctional Lieutenant Daryl Hovey with the Butte County Sheriff’s Office saw a law enforcement bulletin with a picture of the alleged suspect and noticed that same man was participating in the Butte County Sheriff’s Office work alternative program (SWAP). Dennis was arrested outside the Sheriff’s Office when he came to work that day as part of the program and was also found to be in possession of methamphetamine. Dennis was booked into the Butte County Jail on drug charges. Once released, Dennis will be arrested and transferred to Contra Costa County.

On Thursday, September 1st, 2016, detectives with BSCO along with Lafayette Police, Napa Police, and the Oroville Police Department served search warrants at several locations in Oroville. Elizabeth Fay Morse, 47, of Oroville, was arrested after Napa Police Detectives determined her alleged involvement in some of the robberies. Morse is being held in the Butte County Jail with bail set at $100,000 and will be transferred to Contra Costa County on charges of robbery and conspiracy.
