On August 7, 2016, at approximately 0645 hours, Butte County Sheriff’s Office (BCSO) received a call from a citizen who reporting her boyfriend had been stabbed at their residence in the 200 block of Old Forbestown Road near Forbestown.
Deputies responded Code 3 (Lights and Sirens) and secured the scene so medical could respond into the residence. The victim reported four males had come into the house looking for “the stuff”. The victim said one of the males then stabbed him.
After the male victim was taken from the scene to go to a local hospital, Deputies conducted an investigation. Deputies determined there was no attempted robbery and the female, 36-year-old Grace Ball, had stabbed victim in the torso after a heated argument and physical altercation. Ball was determined to be the dominant aggressor.
Ball was arrested and transported to Butte County Jail where she was booked for violations of Assault With a Deadly Weapon, Felony Domestic Violence, Possession of a Controlled Substance, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and a misdemeanor warrant.
Ball was held on $83,000 bail.
