PARADISE RESIDENT ARRESTED FOR POSSESSION OF CHILD PORNOGRAPHY

Paradise, CA – In 2020, Butte County Sheriff’s Office detectives began investigating Alex Rozycki, age 29, of Paradise. During the investigation detectives located evidence indicating Rozycki was downloading child pornography. On December 23, 2020 detectives served a search warrant at Rozycki’s residence, which is located in the 6000 block of Tyden Way, Paradise.
During the service of the search warrant detectives seized multiple electronic devices that belonged to Rozycki. Detectives later conducted forensic searches of the electronic devices and located multiple images of child pornography. Detectives also located evidence indicating Rozycki was the individual who downloaded the child pornography.
On January 8, detectives placed Rozycki under arrest for a felony count of possessing over 600 images of child pornography, and for a felony count of possession of child pornography portraying sexual masochism. Rozycki was booked into the Butte County Jail on the evening of January 8. Rozycki later posted bail and is scheduled to be arraigned at the Butte County Superior Court on March 26, 2021, at 8:30 AM.
