Oroville Homicide Investigation

Oroville, CA- On Saturday, October 21, 2017, at approximately 10:30 a.m., the Butte County Sheriff’s Office (BCSO) received a report of a deceased male inside a home on the 2900 block of Greenville Street in Oroville. When deputies arrived to the home, they found a deceased male inside the home, who had suffered a gunshot wound to the head. The death has been ruled a homicide. The victim has been identified as Lorenzo Paz II, age 21, of Oroville.
No arrests have been made. The investigation is ongoing. To protect the integrity of the investigation, additional details are not being released at this time. The autopsy is scheduled for this week. Anyone with information is asked to contact BCSO Detective Beller at (530) 538-7671.
