Community Meeting for Gridley and Biggs Residents
Oroville, CA- The first of four community meetings for community members who live in the flood evacuation zones in Southern Butte County is scheduled for Thursday, March 16, 2017, at the Butte County Fairgrounds, located at 199 East Hazel Street in Gridley. The meeting will take place from 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. inside Butte Hall.
Sheriff Kory Honea and Gridley-Biggs Chief of Police Dean Price will outline the areas in each zone in the Biggs and Gridley areas, which are zones 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, and 11. Sheriff Honea and Chief Price will also outline exactly how residents can locate their zone on the Butte County website as well as how to sign up for Emergency Mass Notifications. Computers will be available for residents to be able to sign up for the Emergency Mass Notifications as well as to locate their zone. Handouts of each zone map will be available to residents as well as information to stay informed during an emergency.
