Oroville Shooting Investigation

On Tuesday, 1/17/17, at approximately 6:30AM, Butte County Sheriff’s Office (BCSO) deputies responded to a home on the 2300 block of Ithaca Street in Oroville after reports of a shooting. Upon arrival, deputies located an adult male with a single gunshot wound to the chest lying on the ground outside the residence. The victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment. BCSO detectives responded to the scene to investigate. At this time, there is no suspect information and anyone with information should call the BCSO Investigations Unit at (530) 538-7671.
