Recycling is more than extending the life of our landfill. It is about making the best use of the resources we have available and preserving those resources for future generations. It is about conserving water, energy, land and materials. It is about creating a sustainable community that values what we have and what future generations deserve to have. When you bury something in the landfill, it's like burying the energy and water it took to create that product.

Neal Road Recycling & Waste Facility

The Neal Road Recycling and Waste Facility is now open to the public. The facility will operate reduced hours Monday – Saturday, 7:30 a.m. – 3 p.m. The Neal Road Recycling & Waste Facility cannot accept any fire related debris that has not been screened for hazardous waste.

The Sunday closure is necessary due to staffing shortages as a result of the Camp Fire and operational needs. Beginning Nov. 24, 2018, the facility expects to return to its normal operating hours.

Happy Holidays Butte County residents. Note the following holiday hours for the Neal Road Recycling and Waste Facility. On Sunday, Christmas Eve Day we’ll be open for business at 7 AM but will close the gates promptly at noon. NRRWF will be closed all day Christmas Day and New Year’s Day.

Fees: Butte County Master Fee schedule, see "Public Works - Neal Road Recycling and Waste Facility" section. The Neal Road Facility accepts cash and local checks only.

Payment guidelines: We accept cash, local checks and credit cards only. (No debit cards) No 3rd party checks. All checks to include phone number and California drivers lic. #. Please make checks payable to Butte County N.R.L.
