The Public Works Department maintains approximately 1,300 miles of roadways, including over 500 bridges and drainage structures and more than 18,000 road signs. While every effort is made to post current information on this page, any omissions, errors etc. in posting or failure to post shall not be a valid reason for contesting any IFB, RFP, RFQ, or contract.  Adobe Reader is required in order to view associated files unless other wise specified.

Active Projects, RFPs, and RFQs

The Butte County Department of Public Works is now soliciting new construction projects, RFP’s, and RFQ’s through a partnership with The Public Group, using their program called Public Purchase. 

NOTE: During this time of transition, the two pending projects shown below (SS-2014-1 2014 Slurry Seal Project and 757-7513-11 Construction of Modules 1 & 3 Temporary Cover at the Neal Road Recycling and Waste Facility) that were posted before April 1, 2014, will be available directly from this page, but all future project postings will be through Public Purchase.  Projects posted to Public Purchase are available in the framed area below.

Public Purchase is a free service to both the County and the end user.   In order to obtain plans through this service, you must first register with Public Purchase at www.publicpurchase.com, then register with “County of Butte – Public Works”.   If you are already registered with Public Purchase, you will still need to register with County of Butte – Public Works.

 IFB 757-7513-11 Construction of Modules 1 & 3 Temporary Cover at the Neal Road Recycling and Waste Facility

The work to be done consists; in general, clearing and stripping of temporary cover area, preparation of subgrade for the construction of a temporary reinforced polypropylene liner, furnishing and installing the reinforced polypropylene liner and related items, constructing benches and anchor trenches and grading minor drainage components, within the limits of the Modules 1 & 3 Temporary Cover work area.

Recessed Pavement Markers on Skyway
The work, located in the County of Butte, approximately 300 feet south of the intersection with Coutolenc Road and Skyway and runs approximately 3.8 miles to 300 feet north of the intersection of Nimshew Road and the Skyway. The project tasks in general shall consist of but not limited to furnishing all labor, materials, equipment and transportation for the installation of retro-reflective pavement markers (recessed) in accordance with the California Department of Transportation Standard Specifications, May 2006 and these Special Provisions, unless otherwise specified herein.
