County Roads/Signs/Bridges/illegal Dumping:

In an effort to expand our services to the citizens of Butte County, the Public Works Department is now providing a way to electronically report selected problems with roads, signs, guardrails or tree in the County Right-of-Way.

If you want to call in a report, please call Butte County Public Works @ 538-7681

• Report illegal dumping within the County Right-of-Way.
• Report a road maintenance / pothole on a County Street.
• Report damaged guardrail on a County Street.
• Report a damaged or missing sign.
• Report a problem with a tree located in the County Right-of-Way.

Street Lights:

To report a street light problem, please use the following steps:

Determine the pole number, exact address location, and the type of pole (metal or wood)

If it is within the city limits of the following cities, please call:

Chico - 879-6900

Paradise - 872-6291

Oroville - 538-2420

Gridley - 846-5695

Biggs - 868-5493

If it is in the unincorporated area of the County, please call:

PG&E - 1-800-743-5000 (anytime)

Roads:

To whom you will need to report a problem will depend on who has jurisdiction for that road. At this time, only CalTrans has the ability to make a report online. Please use the following steps:

Determine who has jurisdiction for the road, the address location where the problem exists or a description of its location.

County maintained roads:
