The Butte County Department of Public Works Survey Division is responsible for the maintenance of the various survey benchmarks around the County.

We have made available details on these benchmarks. There are approximatly 1500 of them in the county and using the table of content, below, you can find details on an individual benchmark. You will need Adobe Acrobat Reader® to view the files.

NOTE: USCE Datum is 3.0' +- higher than USGS Datum (Use 2.88) City of Chico Datum is 0.53' lower than USGS Datum.
