The goal of the Butte County Maternal Child and Adolescent Health (MCAH) nurses is that all children be born healthy to healthy mothers regardless of the racial/ethnic, economic or regional status of the family and that families are provided with a safe and healthy environment in which to live and grow. The MCAH staff works with the communities and agencies of Butte County to continually assess the needs of the citizens so that the programs meet the client needs.
