Do you need help buying food? CalFresh can help! CalFresh is a nutrition assistance program designed to help individuals and families to afford more healthy food each month. You can own a house, earn money from a job, be in school, have money in savings or retirement accounts and still be eligible to receive benefits. Benefits are distributed each month on an Electronic Benefits Transfer (EBT) card, which can be used like a debit card, and can be used at groceries stores and farmer’s markets throughout Butte County to purchase food, seeds, and plant starts to grow your own food.
