Welcome to the Butte County Public Health Food Facility Inspection web page. Inspection reports from April 2006 are available online in .pdf form and are sorted alphabetically by facility name. Inspection reports completed prior to April 2006 are on file and available for review at the Environmental Health office at 202 Mira Loma Drive in Oroville. This page contains inspection information for approximately 1200 food facilities that have a permit to operate in Butte County.
Permitted retail food facilities include restaurants, bars, grocery stores, convenience stores and school cafeterias. All facilities are inspected by Registered Environmental Health Specialists (REHS) for compliance with the California Uniform Retail Food Facilities Law (CURFFL). The law is found in the California Health and Safety Code, beginning with section 113700.
All routine inspections are unannounced visits by REHS inspectors who observe and check for proper food temperatures, food handling and storage, worker hygiene, facility sanitation and maintenance. Information available on the inspection report includes (in accordance with California Health and Safety Code 113947): name and address of the food facility, identification of major violations, and date of the inspection or re inspection. Minor violations that do not pose imminent health threats are also documented.
Inspection postings will be updated weekly. For each facility, the two most recent routine inspections (after April 2006) and any subsequent re inspections will be posted.
