LOVE THEM * PROTECT THEM * IMMUNIZE THEM!
Vaccines or “shots” have been available in the United States since the 1950’s. Immunization programs throughout the country have made great strides in reducing the rate of vaccine preventable diseases by immunizing children. A Butte County Public Health Department goal is to improve access to immunizations, so that your child receives all of the vaccine doses she needs to protect her from serious illness. Contact your private doctor, community or public health clinic to be sure that you and your children are fully immunized. When you are protected, the community is protected. You are contributing to “Community Immunity”.

The Immunization Network of Northern California is a consortium of local public health departments that operate a single, confidential, computerized information system designed to catalogue and provide authorized entities immediate access to a patient's immunization history. INNC works in close collaboration with the California Department of Health Services (CDHS) and includes health departments and immunization providers in the following counties: Butte, Colusa, Del Norte, Glenn, Humboldt, Lake, Lassen, Mendocino, Modoc, Plumas, Shasta, Sierra, Siskiyou, Tehama, and Trinity. INNC facilitates accurate, timely immunizations to protect the health of all county residents, with children less than six years of age as a priority. INNC is committed to: developing a comprehensive immunization registry tracking system; promoting immunizations as a basic component of healthcare for children by removing barriers to immunization service delivery; providing public health education to families and caregivers; and coordinating public and private efforts in our region with State and national immunization registry efforts.
