WIC Eligibility Requirements

You may be eligible for the WIC program if you are a California resident with a nutritional risk and:

  • Are Pregnant
  • Had a baby or a loss of pregnancy within the last 6 months
  • Are Breastfeeding an infant under the age of 1
  • Have Infants
  • Have Children under 5 years of age


  • Meet income requirements, or
  • Receive Medi-Cal, CalFresh or CalWorks

Did you know you could also be eligible for WIC if:

  • You have a foster child under the age of 5
  • You are not a US citizen
  • You are a legal guardian caring for a child under the age of 5—this includes single parents, Dad’s and Grandparents!
